As a Software Engineer at Avlino, I work on systems used for container terminal operations, mainly yard container management.
I work closely with the Operations Research and Data Engineering teams to turn optimization logic and data pipelines into reliable, production-ready software. My role involves building, integrating, and maintaining microservices that allow all optimization engines to work together.
I ensure correct, consistent, and reliable communication across the system, where multiple engines exchange data through Kafka by producing and consuming each other’s outputs while running their own mathematical models.
On a day-to-day basis, I take ownership of service integration, data flow correctness, and overall stability of the platform in production.

Software Engineer
